The Danube Cycle Path in the Upper Danube Nature Park leads through breathtaking scenery with steep cliffs, green meadows, and forests. The route runs mostly flat along the river, with a few steeper sections along the way. It is well signposted and offers plenty of opportunities to stop for food and refreshments.

The Donaubergland Trail is one of the most famous and beautiful hiking routes in the Upper Danube region. Spanning a total of 200 kilometers, it leads from Tuttlingen to the Swabian Alb Biosphere Reserve, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. The Donaubergland Trail is suitable for both experienced hikers and families with children, as it features sections of varying difficulty levels.

Sights in the Danube Valley
A must-see for visitors is Wildenstein Castle, which sits majestically above the river. The ruins of Falkenstein Castle are also well worth a visit and offer a spectacular view of the surrounding landscape.
Bronnen Castle is privately owned and not open to visitors.
Beuron, a charming village in the heart of the Upper Danube Nature Park, is best known for its impressive Benedictine monastery, which has stood for over 1,000 years. Perched majestically on a rock, the monastery attracts visitors from around the world, drawn by its striking architecture and spiritual atmosphere.
The Beuron Monastery offers visitors a variety of ways to learn about monastic life and its long-standing traditions. Guided tours take guests through different parts of the monastery, such as the library, church, and workshops. Overnight stays are also possible, allowing visitors to sleep within the monastery walls and take part in the daily monastic routine.
